HK Scout Jamboree - Flag Presentation Ceremony - 18 Dec 2010 @ Scout HQ

The Hong Kong Scout Centenary Jamboree 2010 will be held from 27 Dec 2010 to 1 Jan 2011 at Hong Kong Penny Bay (next to Disneyland Theme Park) are expecting 5,800 Scouts to participate.  The Centenary Jamboree is held in conjunction with 100 years of Hong Kong Scouting in 2011. 

The Singapore Scout Association is sending a contingent of 19 Scouts/Ventures and 4 Adult Leaders, led by Contingent Leader, Mr Desmond Foo.  The Scouts and Ventures come from 01 Raffles Scout Group, 23 Eagles Scout Group (from New Town Sec, Bukit Merah Sec & NUS High), Clementi Woods Sec School, Dunman Secondary School and Changkat Changi Sec School.    

The Flag Presentation Ceremony was held on Saturday, 18 Dec 2010 at Scout HQ.  Some 50 members as well as their parents attended the Ceremony.  The event was graced by our Guest-Of-Honor, Mr Alphonsus Gregory (Assistant Chief Commissioner (West).  In his address, he urged members to live up to the Scout Promise and continue their Scouting adventure in a fun and enriching way, in particular this HK Jamboree.  Thereafter, the official presentation of the State Flag and NSO Flag was presented to Contingent Leader, Mr Desmond Foo.  

A Song and Dance performance entitled Singapore Town was staged by the members.  

The Ceremony ended at 1230hrs with a lunch reception.

3rd Contingent Meeting - Tuesday, 30 Nov 2010 at Program Room

Dear all,

We will be conducting our 3rd Contingent Meeting on Tuesday, 30 Nov 2010 at 7.00pm (Program Room) to finalise travel details, cultural performances and campsite layout requirements.  Attire: In casual.   Please make time to attend.

Those who have not submitted their sizes and photos, please do so before Saturday, 27 Dec.
 
For RI Scouts - please seek permission from your Unit Leader to make time to attend.
 
We hope to see 100% attendance from all of you as this will be our last 2 session prior to our flag ceremony.
